Project Focus:
The project arises out of the need for centralized medical record information which is clearly a part of the future of medicine and the topic is major element of the health care reform legislation currently before Congress. Thus, this ambitious proposal addresses new markets in the health industry that are developing in response to government requirements for electronic interchange of health information. The team proposes to develop a set of middleware that can integrate information from the many Health Information Exchanges that are currently under development and enable applications to access this information.
