The facility is a joint venture of Oklahoma City-based Lopez Foods and Springfield, Ark.,-based Tyson Refrigerated Foods and will produce chicken products for McDonald’s. The Ponca City facility employs more than 200 people and is expected to employ 450 within two years. It represents an investment of approximately $30 million for the co-venture partners.
