Having grown up in Greenwich Village in the early 70?s, singer/songwriter Greg Trooper came from a traditional folk background. After spending some time in Austin and Lawrence, Greg Trooper moved back to New York where he began work on his first album, We Won?t Dance. Utilizing the mandolin, harmonica, piano, and acoustic guitar, there?s just a hint of blues in these often urban-themed folk tunes. National acts Steve Earle, Billy Bragg, and Vince Gill have all recorded original songs written by Greg Trooper. Now boasting eleven full-length albums, Trooper released his newest record, Upside-Down Town, at the start of this year. Lisa Morales will open.
