The Tulsa ensemble consists of Travis Fite (guitar, vocals), Brian Lee (keyboards), Stanley Fary (drums), and Matt Hayes (bass). Highly skilled instrumental improvisers, What?s That lays down funky jazz fusion jams both thrilling and enthralling. Travis Fite has toured with funk-soul bands such as Phat Thumb, What It Is (San Francisco), Full Flava Kings, Denada and the Wayman Tisdale band. In addition to performing with What's That, Mr. Fite plays guitar with singer/songwriter Jared Tyler (Tulsa). He also runs SoulTree recording studio in Tulsa with Mr. Tyler, writing and producing music for local and national artists. Brian Lee commands the keyboard whether he?s playing a grand piano, Hammond B3 organ or electric Fender Rhodes piano. He currently plays on tour with Leon Russell and used to perform with Tulsa-based Freakshow. Longtime Tulsa musician Stanley Fary will be drumming for What?s That. He?s previously performed with jazzman and Tulsa native Wayman Tisdale, the funky Full Flava Kings and Branjae Jackson. Matt Hayes, on upright and electric bass guitar, will drive the low end. He played with Jacob Fred jazz Odyssey for a year and has performed with Annie Ellicot and the Tulsa Symphony.
