Reverend Horton Heat, also known as Jim Heath, is a singer and songwriter originally from Corpus Christi, Texas. He moved to Dallas and formed his band in 1985. The band eventually established themselves as one of the most popular underground acts in America. During the 1990s, the band saw two of their albums, It's Martini Time and Space Heater, land on the Billboard top 200 charts. The 2002 album Lucky 7 and the 2004 album Revival both landed in the top 25 indie charts. Their music is a mixture of country, punk, big band, swing, and rock, all played loud and energetically with lyrics that are often humorous.
